Project description
TrueTone AI is a web based tool designed to refine AI generated content while preserving the writer’s original meaning and intent. Unlike conventional AI-to-human converters that often distort tone or alter context, TrueTone ensures that text remains authentic, polished, and aligned with the user’s voice. I designed this website as part of my portfolio to showcase my ability to design user centered digital products that solve real communication challenges in the growing AI content space.
Challenge
Users who relied on AI-to-human converters often expressed frustration with platforms that:
produced text that felt generic, inauthentic, or disconnected from their original voice
offered cluttered, unintuitive interfaces that made simple tasks feel complex
lacked transparency in how the meaning of the text was preserved.
The challenge was not only to build a tool that safeguarded originality but also to design an experience that felt trustworthy, seamless, and user-centered.
Solution
As the product designer, I approached this challenge by focusing on clarity, simplicity, and user trust.
To build trust, I created clear feedback mechanisms (before and after text views, highlighted changes) so users could see exactly how TrueTone preserved meaning.
I also made use of human centered imagery to balance the tech-heavy theme, I integrated lifestyle photography (e.g, people smiling confidently against colorful backdrops) that communicates empowerment and relatability thereby reminding users that this is about their voice, not just AI.
To simplify decision making, I introduced tiered flows (Free, Plus, Pro), making the platform scalable for casual and professional users.

Through these UX/UI design decisions, TrueTone AI not only solves the problem of AI-generated text losing its authenticity but also provides users with a trustworthy, intuitive, and delightful experience.
Process
Research
I began by analyzing existing AI humanizer tools like HIX Humanizer AI and others in the market. From this, I identified common issues like cluttered interfaces, vague communication of value, and pricing models that confused rather than guided users.
I also gathered insights from users who wanted AI generated text to feel more natural but didn’t want to lose their original meaning.
Some of the key insights I gathered during this phase includes:
Users want AI to human conversion tools that don’t distort meaning, but most alternatives fail at this
A clean, straightforward landing page with clear CTAs helps users quickly understand what the tool does.
Many tools lack engaging educational content. Adding a blog section establishes authority, boosts SEO, and builds user trust.
Ideation
Based on these insights I gathered, I defined TrueTone’s design goals:
To communicate value clearly.
To build trust through transparency, proof, and human centered visuals.
To provide an easy flow and experience for users.
With these in mind, I sketched out low fidelity wireframe to map out the user's flow as shown below:

Visual Design
I then translated the wireframes into high fidelity design with strong visual identity that includes:
Color palette with a gradient driven purple scheme to convey creativity and trust
For the Typography I used bold, modern fonts(Inria Sans) for headlines paired with clean, readable text for body copy.
I used components to streamline the design process thereby enabling consistency and efficiency across my design which gave the interface a modern, approachable feel.
Prototyping & Interactivity
I forged ahead to create an interactive prototype to simulate the full flow as shown in the video below.
Testing and Iteration
I shared the prototype with a small test group to gather feedback the goal was not just to confirm visual appeal but to ensure that TrueTone AI’s interface felt intuitive, trustworthy, and value-driven. The focus area tested includes:
Could users understand the core purpose (AI to human text transformation) within the first few seconds?
Did the navigation feel clear, with minimal friction in moving between pages?
Was the pricing comparison easy to read and compelling enough to encourage upgrades?
Insight: Some users initially felt the pricing table was “too text heavy” thereby making it harder to skim.
Iteration: I refined the layout with clearer icons, stronger contrast, and more whitespace, improving scannability as shown below

Solution
The solution for TrueTone was not just to design another AI tool, but to create a platform that feels human centered where every interaction, from the first click to humanizing content to exploring plans, reflects TrueTone’s promise of clarity, authenticity and great user experience.
Results
The design of TrueTone AI successfully translated the vision of an AI to human text converter into a clear, usable, and trustworthy platform. The project demonstrates measurable design impact through the following outcomes:
The hero section and visual hierarchy communicate TrueTone’s promise (retains meaning, humanizes text) ensuring users immediately understand the product’s unique value within the first few seconds.
With intuitive navigation and strategically placed CTAs, users are guided seamlessly from curiosity to action, this increases user's engagement
The FAQs address potential user concerns before they commit.
The modular design system allows TrueTone to expand easily, accommodating future features without breaking the visual or UX consistency.
Personal Takeaway
This project reinforced my belief that great design is not just how something looks, but how it works and how it makes users feel. With TrueTone AI, my goal was to make users feel confident that their words and it's meaning are preserved while still ensuring great user experience.
Moving forward, I’ll continue to design with empathy, focusing on clarity, usability, and meaningful user experiences.
